Brownlow Masonic Lodge 781

Year 2005

Brownlow Masonic Lodge No 781, Installation Dinner, and 50 year Celebration, took place on the  21January 2005. As part of the year marking the 50th Anniversary of the founding of Brownlow Masonic Lodge No 781, the “installation dinner” of the Lodge took on a celebratory mode.

We were honoured by a visit from the Right Worshipful Provincial Grandmaster Bro George Miskimmins, who assisted the W M Bro Keith Smith to cut the 50th Anniversary Cake, and lent distinction to the occasion.

Among the many visitors were six” Worshipful Brethren” of the" English Constitution",

for whom the experience of an” Irish Lodge “was most enlightening, and I quote ,“Very enjoyable!”

All the visitors were welcomed most heartily by the outgoing W, M, Bro, Ken Woodward, and the new W, M, Bro Keith Smith. The collection for the Charitable Institutions amounted to £380, whilst a raffle in aid of the “ Grand Lodge Tsunami Appeal” raised £400.

Some of the Lodge Members received a “Special Jewel” which had been struck to mark 50 years of the Lodge.

The proceedings culminated with a very enjoyable Social evening organized by Bro Robin Clarke.
